After nearly a decade of dreaming, some fans have seemingly taken things into their own hands. As we get closer to Sony’s PlayStation 4 being perfectly emulated on PC, it brings us even closer to rebuilding the shattered hope of playing Bloodborne on platforms other than the one it was initially released on.

Fans have already started to believe that the creators of the iconic Souls title have given up on the franchise, which leaves everything to the modders, who have recently made great progress in achieving this goal.

Despite the plea over the past years, fans remain in disbelief as both studios have avoided outlining the future of the franchise in any way.

This comes after Hidetaka Miyazaki admitted how the title remains his favorite creation of all time, making it a harder pill to swallow accepting that there will be no official intimation moving forward.

Fortunately, a group known as shadps4 has been working on making a fully functional emulator for PlayStation 4 on PC for a long time, and their hard work has finally begun to bear fruit.

The modders now share in the excitement about how they have successfully reached the title screen of the game within the emulator.

Not only does this open the door to what seems to be the future of emulating games on PC, but it is ultimately a revolution in its own respect. Speaking their mind on the recent development, known individuals throughout the industry have shared their views as well, commenting with words of commendation.

With God of War Ragnarok already being slated for a PC release soon, there is no doubt Sony had been working towards better inclusivity between the platforms as well.

However, a perfected emulation model would ultimately shorten the process, with some wondering if the studio will bring in the big guns and interfere with the development legally.

Most of the gaming world has already moved on to the latest generation of consoles. Luckily, there are still many modern-day titles that are released on the PlayStation 4 with the transition moving onto its final phase.

This essentially means that apart from Bloodborne, there may be many other exclusive titles that will soon follow the trend.

While there remains a long way to go before the final version of the emulator will be made available to gamers, it will still be earlier than the official release of Bloodborne PC, the chances of which happening are low already.

Will you be making use of the emulator in development to enjoy one of the best Souls games ever made? Let us know in the comments below!
