The new manga is exactly what many players needed at the time, especially those who have been following the game for a long time, and are disheartened by the discontinuation of the series’ production.

The aforementioned post reveals how the reader will be following the adventures of Detective Goda and ‘Hacktivist‘ Stainless-Steel-Bat as they come closer to uncovering a conspiracy between politicians, the Yakuza, and the corporation behind a smart city grid used to prevent natural disasters and criminality.
Additionally, the synopsis for the said manga also gives a better insight into the plot setting of the story. It mentioned how the smart city grid is called
“J-ctOS“, and has been developed by Blum Japan as a city infrastructure management system. It further states how while it has helped people gain convenience in various aspects of life, secrets lurk within this management system, that our protagonist has set out to uncover.
The release of Watch Dogs: Tokyo might have come as a blessing in disguise because as mentioned before, it might just be enough to rile fans up once again to demand for another video game release. Fortunately for Ubisoft, this is something that should not be hard to achieve, as they have already set up a setup storyline in the Asian country of Japan, and also have the opportunity to convert Watch Dogs into a modern-day Assassin’s Creed title if they wish to go that route.
