It goes without saying that every single game director present in the industry invests their heart and soul into whatever project they are working on at the time. However, none can come close to the quality of titles Hidetaka Miyazaki has delivered to gamers over the years.

While there is no particular secret behind the director’s brilliance in producing games, it ultimately all comes down to all the experience he has built over the years, as well as perfectly knowing what his audience really wants.

How Hidetaka Miyazaki Has Perfected His Craft Over Time

Ranging from Dark Souls to his latest release, Elden Ring, Hidetaka Miyazaki has been nothing but simply amazing at taking the standards of gaming to the next level. Revealing in an interview via PlayStation Blog how it is the fans themselves that allow him to curate the best experience, the director stated-

“For these people to put so much time into my games and really discuss things that I’ve created with such passion… I’ll go online and enjoy reading what they have to say. Of course, sometimes there are things that are not so enjoyable to read – but even taking that on board, over all I take great pleasure in their comments. As a creator it’s such a valuable resource, to listen to their honest feedback and think about what game I’m going to make next. You couldn’t go out there and pay people money to put in the hours that these people do!”

To the surprise of many, the director disclosed how it is the comments made by players on the internet that allow him to take direct feedback and work on things that need to be reworked. Miyazaki also mentioned how these comments are a valuable resource, and implements their feedback into his future work.

This interview was held nearly a decade ago, but the formula evidently remains the same, as testified by the immense success of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s latest title, Elden Ring. Likewise, many believe the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree is going to be the director’s best work yet, something which the director has implied himself.

Why Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree Is Going To Be An Absolute Masterclass By Hidetaka Miyazaki

Fans have been anticipating the release of the coming DLC ever since it was first announced. As teased by its recent gameplay trailer, it is now finally set to release on June 21st, turning many dreams into reality. Bearing in mind how its content is going to be well planned and greatly synchronized with the storyline of the main game, the extension will be one of the best DLCs that have been ever released, at least for Soulsborne games.

So far, we know how our tarnished character will soon be traversing into the undiscovered Land of Shadow. It has been disclosed how the player would need to interact with Miquella’s cocoon found in Mohgywn’s palace in order to start their journey into the new and unique adventure awaiting them in the DLC.

Elden Ring is available for purchase on Steam.
