There is not much a player gets to enjoy from a standalone title in a franchise that has the potential to offer way more. Ghost of Tsushima falls under this exact umbrella of problems as fans are starting to believe that a sequel to the first game can create a new combat style that has already been established in the first game.

While following the likes of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will be overdoing it, the studio now has the opportunity to properly follow the route of Stealth-based gameplay in the second game after it was first introduced in the 2020 title.
Ghost of Tsushima’s Developers Have The Opportunity To Perfect This One Combat Mechanic In-Game
Despite the already built-up excitement around it, there remains no official news about a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, at least for now. Fortunately, recent times have witnessed several rumors popping up, spreading the word about how the studio could be planning to make the much-desired title into a reality at any given point.
Being a new installment in the franchise, the sequel will need to bring itself many new elements and mechanics with the continuation of the storyline for the players to keep enjoying. Likewise, One of the best changes the developers could introduce in the rumored release is implementing a better stealth-based combat system, finally fixing the rigid combat system that the game has built quite the reputation for.

A switch to a more stealth-based combat system will also help the game start to feel more natural and more in sync with the storyline. This is because Jin Sakai, the main character has accepted his destiny as a ghost, ridding the need for aggressive combat styles that the players first unlock along their journey to fight against different enemy types in the first game.
Why Ghost of Tsushima Might Be Putting Itself In Trouble Soon As It Gets Released On PC
As the players would already know, it is Sony that holds the publishing rights to the Ghost of Tsushima franchise, which would explain the game’s primary presence being on PlayStation. Furthermore, the studio has been under fire from the gaming community ever since they tried to force players of Helldivers 2 to link with a PSN account if they wished to continue playing, a decision which was ultimately pulled back after backlash.

Now, with the release of Ghost of Tsushima’s PC Port slated for the 16th of May, the studio has once again implemented the same requirement beforehand, mandating a PSN account to be linked if the player wishes to enjoy the multiplayer mode of the game. However, this means that the player can continue to enjoy the single-payer experience of the game without any hesitation, which is why many gamers bought the title in the first place.
Ghost of Tsushima is available to pre-order on Steam.
