Among the many theories that casually seem to surface out of nowhere, a new one going over how Automatons might be taking over a major piece of equipment in Helldivers 2 has popped up, yet once again becoming an obstacle in the fight for democracy and liberation.

One of the most talked about topics in the community in recent times has been how some of the stratagems in-game seem to be deliberately attacking the soldiers of Super Earth. This can further branch off into how the Automatons might be becoming stronger than ever, gaining the ability to control the machines built to support the helldivers to begin with.

One of the mechanics that Arrowhead Studious has implemented in their game is friendly fire, allowing players to damage their own teammates if they happen to come in the line of fire.
