Featuring two different mythologies, the God of War franchise brings to screen many different characters, some of whom are disposed of swiftly by Kratos, often being the whole point of the title.
Unfortunately, this also leads to the potential for many NPCs to go down the drain, much like in the case of Magni and Modi, sons of Thor, who fans wish we got to see more of.
Magni and Modi – Did Santa Monica Get Rid of These Characters in God of War a Bit Too Early?
As stated before, Magni and Modi were the sons of Thor, the Norse Aesir God of Thunder. The two characters first appeared in the series’ reboot installment in 2018 and were disposed of relatively quickly compared to other entities.
Coming to the realization a few years later, God of War fans have finally begun to mention how the interactions with Magni and Modi on screen actually brought some character to the game and provided interesting and humorous conversations for the player to listen to.
Magni and Modi may not be powerful gods, but you gotta admit the time they had on screen, the interactions and stuff were pretty interesting and funny, kinda makes me wish we saw more of them.

With the rumors of Atreus, the son of Kratos, getting his own spin-off floating around, fans hope that the studio will make sure to take more value out of some characters who are going to waste either way.

Being one of the most popular first-party exclusives under Sony, there remains no doubt that fans will witness the announcement of a new installment in the franchise soon before the hype starts to cool down.
Bearing in mind how Kratos’ son is now out in the world embarking on his own journey, a spin-off entailing his quest to find out about the other giants would make the most sense currently. Furthermore, fans are also hoping that the God of War will soon make his way into the Egyptian Pantheon, as he has already dealt with other major mythologies.
What further solidifies the claim of an installment to the franchise coming soon is how Santa Monic posted about a job vacancy in the studio a few months ago, which further indicates how the studio is gearing up to develop the next title.
